On August 15, we celebrated their World Champion title and Gold Medal accomplishment at the 13th World Choir Games in Auckland, New Zealand!
MISSION
ACCOMPLISHED
We received the invitation to compete in the World Choir Games in September 2023 and announced it to our members by December 2023. In January 2024, we began planning, fundraising, and training with our mission firmly in mind. After months of dedication and hard work, the Voices of Unity Youth Choir triumphed, earning a Championship Title and Gold Medal in the Gospel Music Category at the 2024 World Choir Games in Auckland, New Zealand.
The Victory Celebration honored these remarkable achievements and celebrated the incredible dedication and tenacity of the choir. Now, they proudly hold two world champion titles and six gold medals from the World Choir Games.

OUR JOURNEY TO THE WORLD CHOIR GAMES
ARRIVAL IN AUCKLAND
The excitement was unmatched as we touched down in New Zealand. Our members were eager to represent Fort Wayne and bring their best to the world stage.
REHEARSALS
In the days leading up to our performance, our choir rehearsed tirelessly. Each practice session was filled with passion and precision, as we fine-tuned every note and movement.
COMPETITION DAY
This generation of singers’ presentation marks their second public performance since the season began in September 2023, and their first venture onto the world stage post-COVID-19. Little did they know this moment would become a life-changing experience. This was the moment we had all been waiting for. From the spirited “I’ve Got My Ticket” to the soul-stirring “The Storm Is Passing Over,” our Voices of Unity Youth Choir poured their hearts and souls into every note. “Oh, Happy Day” ushered in the presence of joy, and “View That Holy City” left us in Pentecostal awe. The packed theater erupted with thunderous applause, culminating in a standing ovation from both the audience and the judges.

The pinnacle of our trip was being awarded the Championship Title and the Gold Medal in the Gospel Music category! Shouts of triumph filled the air, and tears of joy overwhelmed our students as they received their well-deserved accolades.
